6 Little Known Weight Loss Tips

By Marcelo

When you are planning to lose weight then you may come up with a whole range of ways to facilitate the weight loss level that you want and need. There are endless faddy diets that may actually harm your health far more than you believe. There are also addictions that you have to negotiate, such as diet pills and exercise – yes it is possible to become addicted to the latter if you have a weigh goal in mind and work too hard towards it! As you can see, it is a minefield but one that you have to walk through if you wish to reach your target weight and keep it off.

Weight loss should be steady and is not healthy if you lose too much too quickly. As such, make sure that you follow the ten tips below to maximize your weight loss but minimize the risks to your health.

1. You should detox your body before you begin to lose weight – Many people equate a diet and detoxification as one and the same thing. As a result, they do both at the same time, but cleansing all the rubbish from your body should be a priority before you begin a healthy eating plan. It will increase the rate of weight loss when you do start your diet but still maintain a healthy level.

2. Keep a plan of your diet so you know what to eat and when to eat it, and compare that to your daily food diary. Writing down what you eat will highlight extra calories that can be cut out.

3. You do not have to exercise every day to lose weight and you should not do so because you will ultimately build muscle, which weighs heavier than fat. You have to get the balance right when attempting weight loss so exercise three to four times a week to maximize fat burning and balance it out with steady muscle building.

4. Do not choose faddy diets but instead stick to three meals a day with set calorie counts. You should reduce calories for weight loss but follow a plan that suits you rather than a plan that is set in stone. Not only is it healthier but also you are more likely to stick with it!

5. Use supplements with natural substances in them to help facilitate weight loss. Synthetic ingredients tend to have nasty side effects but natural ingredients, like those in Belissima Sim, seem to have a much better effect because they work in harmony with the body instead of against its natural functions.

6. Change your lifestyle. Losing weight is not all about eating what you think you should be eating. Instead, it involves a huge lifestyle change that you have to commit to if you want to be successful. If you do not change your lifestyle but do manage to lose weight then you will most likely put it straight back on.

The 6 tips above may help you in your quest for weight loss but they my also prove to be the guidance you need to help keep it off too.

6 Steps To Avoid Getting Fat Again After You Lose Weight

By: Glenn Freiboth

Many of today’s magazines and web sites throw out negative weight loss statistics, such as "95% of people who lose weight gain it back." But scientific studies about why people regain weight are contradictory. Some blame genetics, but research shows that heredity is only one small factor in weight gain or loss. To answer your question, we turned it around and searched the Web for information on people who had lost weight and kept it off. By looking at these successes, we hoped to learn why others have failed.

The Take Shape for Life team of doctors uses the BeSlim Philosophy that works for the vast majority of people after they have reached their target weight.

They seem to have discovered the secrets to long-term weight loss, but these are no quick fixes. According to Dr. Wayne Andersen, "To keep lost weight off, people must change their approach to exercise and develop new habits." They've identified six behaviors common among people who've kept the weight off which embodies the BESLIM Philosophy:

1) Breakfast Every Day
High quality fuel is essential to start the day off right.

2) Exercise
Continued exercise increases metabolism, provides strength, flexibility and mental clarity.

3) Support
Mentors and coaches help you reach and maintain your goals, providing the coaching, tools, education and caring support you will need along the way.

4) Low Fat Meals
Eating 5-6 times a day frequently, controlling portion and total calories, especially those from fat, are critical for success.

5) Individual Plan
Create an Individual plan to help you achieve an optimal healthy lifestyle and build the skills and strategies people need to cope with modern life.

6) Monitor
Weigh yourself on a regular basis to maintain optimal weight. Catch it before it becomes a challenge.

So, to go back to your question, it would appear that people regain weight they've lost because they don't change the unhealthy habits that lead to the weight gain in the first place. Many people are attracted to the promise of quick, easy weight loss through fad diets that restrict certain kinds of foods or prescribe very specific food combinations. While you may lose weight initially on these regimens, they're not designed to be followed for a lifetime, nor are they healthy over the long term.

The BeSlim Philosophy offers realistic steps on how to keep those pounds off. The Diet Channel outlines similar strategies for weight maintenance but not the same. While it's not as easy as taking a pill, building healthy, lifelong habits can help keep you fit and trim for the best years of your life.

Weight Loss Myth Buster: 6 Biggest Lies about Weight Loss Revealed

by Patrick McCormack

There is plenty of inaccurate data going around the weight loss industry and many people who are getting on this platform and looking for ways to lose weight have fallen victim to such myths. Let us look at some of the most popular myths circulating on this industry.

Myth # 1: Avoid Carbohydrates This is perpetuated by the most famous high protein diets - the Atkins diet, South beach and a whole lot of other popular diets that promotes a diet rich in protein and low in carbohydrates. While such diets can produce significant weight loss in a short amount of time, the results are hardly long lasting and as soon as you start eating normally again, the weight comes plummeting back, even more than before!

Myth # 2: Genetics is the Biggest Factor To a certain extent, genetics do play a role ion determining your metabolic rate, but this doesn't meant hat your fate is sealed if you have obese parents and grandparents. The most important factor in determining your success in any weight loss program is the number of calories you eat and the amount of physical activity you get in a single day. Genetics do play a role in determining how much calories you will burn, as those with slower metabolic rates may burn calories much slower than those who are active and have higher metabolic rates. But there are always ways you can rev up a slow metabolism so don't ever use this excuse.

Myth # 3: Fat is to be avoided Some people believe that cutting down on fat is necessary during a weight loss program. But the key to effective fat control is cutting down on the dangerous fats and increasing your intake of the good fat. At all costs, do avoid trans fat and saturated fat and increase the intake of healthy fats such as polyunsaturated and Omega-3 that are abundant in foods like fish, olive oil, and avocados.

Myth # 4: Skipping meals Skipping meals can lower your metabolism and makes it more difficult to lose weight. Regular meals are important, and what you need to do is to consume more of the foods which are good for you, which means more salads, vegetables, nuts and fruits! Snack on a large slice of juicy watermelon instead of reaching out for the next scoop of your favorite chocolate ice cream!

Myth # 5: Avoid White Food Contrary to popular beliefs, there are many foods which may be good for you - pears, avocadoes, nuts - just to name a few and the key is that what counts is the nutrients contained in those foods, and not the color.

Myth # 6: Grapefruit Miracle This is one myth that has no basis in reality. There is a group of individuals who are promoting grapefruit as a way to lose fat. In fact there is one small isolated research that states that there is a magic fat burning enzyme that can help you lose weight simply by consuming this fruit. However the validity of the claims is yet to be questioned and whether the citrus industry did play a role in funding those researches. Grapefruits are rich in lycopene - a good source of ingredients that can help provide nutrient and care for the cellular health - prevents cancer and heart diseases.

So, there you have the top 6 myths of weight loss that you may have been familiar with. Now that you have the knowledge to separate fact from fiction, the path to weight loss and a healthier lifestyle is open wide for you.

Good luck in your weight loss goals!

Best over the Counter Diet Pills and Herbal Weight Loss Products

By: James Bruce

Millions of persons every day try to lose weight with over-the-counter weight loss pills, but not every one knows the best ones. Over the counter diet pills often make statements such as the suppression of appetite or metabolism increases for their effectiveness. Diet pills are weight loss products taken orally. They contain stimulants that speed metabolism and suppress appetite. A lot of diet pills contain caffeine as mild diuretics to assist in the elimination of excess fluid. There are two large groups of diet pills: Over the counter diet pills and prescription diet pills. The following is a brief overview of the most popular over the counter diet pills and herbal products and how it aims to ensure an effective weight reduction.

Ephedra/ephedrine - Ephedrine has for many years been an ingredient in asthma medication. However, it is also used for the manufacture of methamphetamine - better known in Nightclubs as speed. There is only a slight difference in the chemical composition of methamphetamine and ephedrine. Despite Ephedrine has been shown to reduce appetite, can also cause high blood pressure, nervousness, tremors, convulsions, insomnia, heart rate irregularities, heart attacks, strokes or even death.

Ephedrine is used widely and is often sold in combination with caffeine as over the counter energy drinks or food boosters and other drugs. It is also widely sold in other products that claim to promote weight loss or increased energy. This includes a number of herbal products such as Herbal Ecstasy and Ma-Huang.

Ephedrine is not safe, but diet supplements are not considered to be herbal medicines. For this reason, the FDA has no much power, to control the distribution before them being placed on the market. However, FDA has warned consumers to avoid products with ephedra or ephedrine.

Alli – Alli is in the open market since June, 2007 and was the first and only nonprescription product for weight reduction approved by the FDA. Alli works by preventing the absorption of some of the fat you eat. The fat passes out of your body, so there may be changes in the intestines, known as the side effects of the treatment. You can get: gas with oily stains, loose stools and frequent bowel movement that may be difficult to control. However, a healthy diet and exercise plan are absolutely necessary to lose weight and keep it off.

Proactol fat binder - Proactol is a recent weight loss solution that combines the best parts of the prescription and natural weight loss pills. It is a little like Xenical or Alli, binding dietary fats immediately before they are digested and turn into calories in our body. However, while orlistat blocks fat by slowing down the action of lipase and have a long list of side effects, Proactol has no influence on the lipase, but comes into contact with fats immediately, what turns to be the surest way to bind fat. Proactol is offered as an over the counter diet pill and is scientifically and medically proven and supported by numerous clinical trials. It exceeded all FDA guidelines for food supplements and bears the stamp of the CE approval.

Important considerations when taking over the counter diet pills to lose weight: Always remember that the fact that a diet pill or drug does not require a prescription does not mean that it is safe. In contrast to a prescription product, these products do not require medical supervision or a study on the health of the patient before use. So, always discuss the use of these products with your doctor and ask how many ingredients may adversely interact with other medications or on your overall health.

A Thrilling Approach to Weight Loss

By Richard Bean

Weight loss is a common aim for many, but it is still an elusive aim. Therefore, let’s find out what it takes to lose weight? The primary thing many will think of is a diet. But, the word 'diet' time and again has a negative undertone. Yes, one needs to observe what one eats, but one doesn't have to get obsessed with it. Another word is exercise, which will be focused upon here. Exercising rubs people the wrong way.

One can hear people groaning with the use of the word exercise, but later when you're done reading one would be able to think of exercise in a new approach - a positive one.

The foremost step is to thinking optimistically about exercise is re-labeling it. For example, one can refer to it as "getting energetic", or "get going", as that is all it really is.

By definition, lazy people do not move a lot, and that result in to adding kilos. Sure, one can keep an eye on what one eats, but if one really wants to stir up his/her fat-burning furnace, then one must get going.

The second step is to discover ways of being active with which one enjoys. Walking, fishing, cooking, playing golf, Frisbee, tennis, the list is endless. The key to this is one likes what he/she does, and if that includes any movement it will burn more calories than being a lazy person.

A few exercises burn additional calories than others, but don't distress yourself with that at the start. The idea is to get accustomed to the habit of moving around. Doing what one likes goes a long way in the pursuit of that, and one may add new tricks to his/her repertoire at every time.

Lastly, to lose ones pessimistic thoughts of work out (and losing weight at the every time) stay regular, but not getting stuck in a channel. Incorporating activities into the routine is a good habit that has many other advantages. For instance, one will get into shape, think clearly, and will be in a good mood. However, one needs to keep changing those activities, or else, over a period of time, they would seem annoying. This will result in making excuses to do rather less active work. To fight this one can keep changing the intensity, rotate days for each activity, and adding new activities to ones routine.

If one follows these tips, it will result in a brilliant start in losing weight.
